The 2023 Annual WoodWare Systems User Conference was held at the Hilton Memphis in Memphis, TN from April 26th– 28th. Attendees gathered at the conference for 3 days and participated in on classroom style training sessions highlighting the enhancements being made in WoodWare V8.5.1. This type of setting allowed for the participants to engage in questions and answers with the instructor and their other peers sitting in on the training sessions.
Some of the hot topics for this year’s User Conference sessions focused on WebConnectXT and MfgConnectXT, the Manufacturer Catalog Interface in WoodWare. David Hockenbroch, a Senior Programmer at WoodWare, demonstrated in his session how MfgConnectXT brings benefits to users by eliminating double order entry, cutting processing time in half. He showed another key benefit which is on the manufacturer’s side of the process. It gives the customers incentive to use the manufacturer’s online ordering program because the catalog interface seamlessly reads the online orders into WoodWare. Also, the same terminology is being used on both sides of the systems. It will be entered the same in the manufacturer’s program as it will be in WoodWare. This results with fewer mistakes for everyone!
Conference attendees also gave valuable input on the direction of WebConnectXT and where they would like WoodWare to take it in the future. The COO of WoodWare, Mike Gardner, demonstrated how WebConnectXT inquiry allows customers or sales reps to use browser-based internet access to look up key information including order status, payment history, account information, product information, and more! This allows needed information into the hands of your customers and service staff allowing for greater customer convenience and better time-management for your customer service staff. The class at the conference also included discussions on the user interface of WebConnectXT and where improvements can be made moving into the future.

Other training sessions that were well recieved during the conference focused on tips and tricks in accounts recievable, accounts payable, and record building in WoodWare. These sessions gave good overviews on reporting features and the A/R G/L Interface which provides translation tools between the Accounts Recievable and General Ledger functions. Cathy Williams, Knowledge Management Analyst at WoodWare, demonstrated in one of her training sessions the brand new Knowledge Managment – Wiki & E-Learning in WoodWare. WoodWare customers will now have access to self-paced E-learning online training courses in the various modules in the system. This will allow the user’s knowledge of the system to grow with hands on step-by-step training.
UC23 Conference attendees enjoy dinner and entertainment
The conference entertainment on Wednesday night was Foolish Pleasure, a Memphis-based rock band who plays all the great oldies. Foolish Pleasure belted out some fun rock ‘n’ roll tunes as the conference attendees enjoyed a three-course dinner at the hotel. The night was filled with fun music and great conversations with everyone gathered around the number of tables. We really enjoyed the down-time we got to spend with everyone that night.
It was another fun User Conference week and we greatly appreciate everyone who made the trip and their participation and feedback in the discussions. We are excited to begin planning for next year and will communicate the details with you once they are set.
